11.1 Surface Area of a Sphere

A sphere is a three dimensional figure (solid figure), which is made up of all points in the space, which lie at a constant distance called the radius, from a fixed point called the centre.

11.2 Hemisphere

A plane through the centre of the sphere divides the sphere into two equal parts, each of which is called a hemisphere.
