Chapter 4: Subject-Verb Concord
The verb must agree with its subject in number and person.
Basic Rules
1. Singular subject takes singular verb. (He is playing)
2. Plural subject takes plural verb. (They are playing)
3. Two subjects joined by 'and' take plural verb. (Ram and Shyam are here)
